
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on January 19, 2008. She was an American film voice actress, voice actor and television host. 1 Pleshette started her career in the theatre and then began to appear in films in the late 1950s and later appeared in films with a prominent name such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Then, she appeared in several television productions and was frequently acting as a guest. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 in which she earned several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette is the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born January 31, 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish parents of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
