Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a journalist as well as an author, and is the anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day." She lives in Westport, CT, and was elected to Westport Country Playhouse's Board of trustees. In her three decades in journalistic work, Camerota has covered stories across the globe, earning her an Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage on the arrest of Roger Stone, and the famous Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking coverage of the effects of Hurricane Maria upon Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was made Honorary Trustees for her work as a trustee on the Board since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport became board chair following having served on the Board since 2013. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker from Westport who was chair of the board for the past year and continued in this role since. The board of trustees for the Playhouse comprises 26 trustees.
