Shailene woodley is an iconic American activist and actor. Her popularity was boosted by her role Alexandra "Alex" King, the teen who is who is suffering from addiction to drugs in The Descendants. In the wake of her performance, which was awe-inspiring on The Descendants she went on to take on other characters that showcased her talents. Shailene was able to secure a prominent role at the beginning of her career in film. This is in itself an impressive feat. She started her career on commercials and television prior to moving into Hollywood movies.
